INTRO
First & foremost thanks for shooting with MFP! Please review this reference guide to help you have the most successful time shooting in line with our cohesive style. Please keep in mind I want you to have fun & GET CREATIVE, while keeping things classic . Therefore, I have a few must haves guidelines I'd like you to consider while shooting.
no.1 rule
NEVER DROP YOUR SHUTTER UNDER 125 OR shoot wider than 2.0 aperture.
BLURRY IMAGES ARE NON FIXABLE.
NO.2
SHOOT CLEAN ANGLES of everything
Avoid warped look in your images by not shooting up or down at something OR using a wider lens to shoot a tight subject. Step back until you are flat facing so it is a clean shot - even if this means zoom or lens swap for a cleaner angle.
NO. 3 WATCH YOUR CORNERS + CROPPING
Crop intentionally & pay attention to your corners ( additionally sun flare) - do not crop to close to feet / heads / or arms/ leave room all around your intended shot .
DAY OF WORK FLOW
GETTING READY
LENS GUIDE: 50MM. 24-70MM.
During this part of the day we work separately.
Start with style shots : shoes , cuff links , bow tie or tie . ** additionally :ask if there are any groomsmen gifts for you to photograph during this time. (use 50mm on details)
If you have to photograph groom/groomsmen getting ready in a hotel room/ house always front light them OR take them outside in the shade.
Capture Candid shots of the groomsmen relaxing & preparing. ******Usually it will be up to you to get this going if it doesn't unfold naturally .
For getting ready shots, I EXPECT YOU TO HAVE TO MOVE THINGS AROUND. If you need to move a table, clean up the space, or get rid of anything that clutters your frame, please take the extra minute or two to do so. It makes all the difference in the images.
CLEAN BACKGROUNDS ARE KEY.
